Poland Nato Air Defense

Poland and other NATO countries together shot down 21% of the targets that attacked Poland, compared to 90% of the the targets shot down by Ukraine that night.

This is a clear example that huge investments in defense cannot replace experience. And Ukrainians have that experience. If NATO wants to secure its airspace, it should ramp up military support to Ukraine and close the skies over Ukraine through joint air patrols under a #SkyShield initiative.

Qatar Strike

Despite initial reports suggesting that the attack was launched from over or near the Persian Gulf, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that last Tuesday’s strike operation by the Israeli Air Force against a meeting of Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital of Doha, was actually carried out from over the Northern Red Sea, with twelve Israeli fighter jets, eight F-15s and four F-35s, firing several air-launched ballistic missile into space over Saudi Arabia at Qatar.

Day 1289

On 4 September, the biggest news comes from the Russian Federation.

Map of Kievan Rus 880~1054

This historical map depicts the Kievan Rus between 880 and 1054, illustrating the expansion of one of the most influential early medieval states in Eastern Europe. The Kievan Rus, founded by Viking (Varangian) rulers, grew from a loose federation of Slavic and Finnic tribes into a powerful entity dominating trade routes between the Baltic and Black Seas. The map highlights key phases of territorial expansion, including its initial core (880–912), further expansion (912–972), and later territorial growth (972–1054). Additionally, the map shows the Khazar Empire, which paid tribute to the Rus for a time, as well as important trade routes connecting the region to Byzantium, Persia, and China. The campaigns of Prince Svyatoslav I (r. 945–972) are marked, including his battles against the Khazars, Pechenegs, and Byzantines. Notably, the Rus’ attack on Constantinople (941 and 1043) is depicted, showing their ambitions in the Byzantine Empire. This map provides a detailed look at the political, military, and economic developments that shaped Eastern Europe during the early medieval period and laid the foundation for modern Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

America blocks weapon

Why should America’s NATO allies buy American weapons if the Pentagon can block their use? What if Russia invaded Finland and we were suddenly told not to use American weapons to strike military bases inside Russia? What if all of our American weapons were suddenly turned off?

He was captured by Russia in April 2022, as Kherson was in Russian occupation, for refusing to collaborate with Russia. alt America block weapon

Proposal to withdraw from European Convention for the Prevention of Torture

Russia has just taken another step into darkness.

Prime Minister Mishustin signed a decree asking Putin to submit to the State Duma a proposal for russia’s withdrawal from the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture.

This convention obliges states to prevent torture and degrading treatment, with independent inspections of prisons and detention centers. Russia joined it in 1998.

Why withdraw? Because torture in russia is not an exception — it is a system. From political prisoners like Kara-Murza and Navalny, to abducted Ukrainian civilians, to POWs brutally abused in captivity — the Kremlin doesn’t want anyone looking inside.

What is Happening in Russian Economy

What’s happening with the Russian economy:

Automotive industry

Sales of passenger cars and trucks have dropped due to high loan interest rates. Tens of thousands of vehicles are stuck at the car factories’ warehouses with no buyers in sight.

In 2024, KAMAZ sold almost one-third fewer trucks than in 2021. The plant incurred a net loss of 3.4 billion rubles ($42.2 million), revenue fell by 8.8%, and profit from sales decreased 15-fold.
